The Assessor has several administrative and statutory duties.  The primary duty and responsibility is to assess all real and personal property within this county or jurisdication.  This includes residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural classes of property. 

The Assessor's Office is responsible for the following:

• Assessment: Maintaining valuation records on all real & personal property within Custer County;
  This includes residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural classes or property.
• Addressing:  Assigning new and updating all addresses for all parcels; in this County; 
• Maps:  Maintaining county maps;
• Motor Vehicle:  Process of Titles and Registrations for all passenger, commercial, non-commercial and off-road vehicles. 

Property owners in Custer County will receive their annual assessment notices the first week in June of each year.  This notice will let you know your current assessed value for your property and improvements.
